Founded in 1874 by Jakob Scholl, "Zur Lindenau" is the oldest, still in family ownership wine tavern. Our family history dates back until 1522.

During the 1950's and 1960's "Zur Lindenau" was "top-notch" when it was about to celebrate "Kerbe-Montag", a special folk festival, on Monday after Jakobus, the patron saint of all Ruedesheim citizens. By the way, that is why all men in the Scholl familiy are bearing as second name "Jakobus".
During "Kerbe-Montag" a very large celebration took place...
